Apple TV 3 with 1080p support

by Abe Abrahamian---2.15.12

The iPAD 3 announcement may provide us with yet another update. Rumors is that Apple is planning a possible replacement of the Apple TV 2 with Apple TV 3. This new device will have 1080p support. Or a major software update to the existing Apple TV 2 with 1080p support. Apple's recent earnings conference call stated that Apple TV 2 sales surpassed the previous quarter by several million. The retail chain is running out of stock on the existing model. This may indicate a possible replacement of the existing Apple TV 2. Most importantly, the industry is expecting the Apple APP store on this future generation device. This will definitely be a game changer. Imagine a powerful A6 based quad core processor playing back video games and being controlled via the iPAD!
